2014 begins with a heavenly celebration!!

I can hardley believe it has been seven years since we started this blog and many things have changed over the years. We, I, have not been as faithful and writing to you about things and events over the years. So I am hoping to commit to getting back to writing to entertain, inform and hopefully enrich your day. As we wrap up another Christmas season and yes another year I can't believe a new year is already here. 

Our precious Sophie, who is already 6, has made the new year a time to celebrate. The angels in heaven celebrate as she asked The Lord Jesus into her little heart. She was so excited to finally make the decision and already asking for her own bible, in pink of course. She has such a big heart and I pray the Lord will do great things in and through her. I thank God for the opportunity to help her in this decision. We love her so very much.  Oh and in other news on Sophie, she lost another tooth yesterday and it was her first top tooth. She has been working at it for three days and finally got it out, she was so excited. She has already figured out that the tooth fairy might not be real and asked if she could "just have  a dollar!" She is funny little girl. 

In other news of new beginnings, after almost two years of waiting and working two jobs, I have been offered a full time position with TSA at the airport!! Praise The Lord. It means one job, a more steady schedule and more money and it came at the perfect time. The Lords timing is perfect and we can easily lose sight of that. I look forward to where we go from here. 

We are ready for a new year and all it has to offer. I hope to spend more time with you here. I leave you with that for tonight and thans for stopping by. 

c is 8!

can't believe C is 8! Time sure is flying by. he is a compassionate soul! very in tune with those around him. he loves to explore and has a knack for getting dirty.=) loves legos! i picture him having a job where he has to use his hands bc he is good at tinkering with things. I pray the Lord uses him mightily!

s is 6!

i can NOT believe my S is 6! she is an absolute delight. she loves playing "house" and taking care of her many babies. she's a sucker for a cute stuffed animal as well. =) she is loving, caring and kind. i sometimes wonder if her little world is made up of rainbows and butterflies. i sure hope so! i love how sweet she is and wouldn't trade how she is for anything! i pray that she comes to know Jesus as her savior and loves Him with all her heart. i am praying He uses her in a mighty way.

summer!

wow! i didn't realize it had been so long since we have posted. june has proven to be quite busy. the boys had camp, and they both loved it! this was c's first year and everything they did was totally up his alley! i'm sure they will be going next year. this last week was vbs at church. all 4 got to attend and they all loved it! it's been so nice not having a set schedule. quiet summer mornings, our own agenda, i'll take it. we've been thoroughly enjoying it! i haven't really taken any pictures. i guess i need to get better about that. so for now, we are LOVING summer and all that comes with it! we need it to slow down just a little. =)

c bear is 3!

i can't believe my baby is 3! no more babies in diapers. our c bear is full of life and just wants to have fun. she has a deep voice and a way with words that is able to crack you up. she has been known to allow her curiosity to get her into trouble. this child has flushed credit cards down the toilet never to be seen again, she just recently cut her hair down to the scalp, and has been known to write on a wall or two. she is constantly moving and in her own little world. her eyes melt you and she loves to cuddle. as she grows i pray that she will accept Jesus as her savior and live a life that is pleasing to Him. i pray she will also have a strong biblical foundation that she relies on and that her relationship with God will be real and on fire. this little one is a firecracker! we love her and can't imagine our family without her. she brings us lots of laughs and giggles.

e is 10!!

my first born is 10! where has the time gone? he is going to be driving and going off to school before i know it... he LOVES video games on any device so this picture is quite appropriate. e is a leader. he loves to be social. he is caring and likes to make memories. he has a sentimental soul. as he gets older i pray that we help him develop a strong biblical foundation that he will be able to mature and rely on. i pray that he starts developing his own one on one relationship with the Lord that will become his compass in life. i pray that he cares for those around him and doesn't get caught up in stereotypes. may he learn to put others above himself, and be a light to those around him. e has been doing karate for about a year and picks up the movements pretty effortlessly. he has continued to take swimming lessons and really enjoys that as well. he loves being social with his friends, rarely does he meet a stranger. he is a sentimental soul, loves to make memories and reminisce. he attended his first christian concert this winter and absolutely loved it. he walked away loving the band 'royal tailor.' we love you e and who you are becoming. i'm lucky to call you my boy!

Sentimental Sundays

introducing my new etsy shop:

from the prodding of some friends i am now an etsy shop owner. I hand stitch signatures. i love my little's signatures and got the idea when i was trying to figure out how i could freeze them in time. this is an example of my youngest's "self portrait." i just love how she drew herself.

time is flying

i just can't believe how big my kiddos are getting. this school year has been a whirlwind so far. aside from doing the online schooling again this year, the boys are still loving karate. e is also taking a swimming class. they all love their classes at church and the friends they have there. i've been enjoying watching a cutie pie on mondays and a bible study with a few girl friends on thur. amongst all of the busyness i am trying to enjoy my babies. time is going by so fast. i am awfully blessed to have these 4 amazing faces in my life.

new york

we got to take a trip to long island to visit t's family. we had a good time catching up. we hadn't been there all together in 4 years. the day we flew in we hung out on coney island. we had a ton of fun!

it was nice spending time with t's brother and his family. we spent a lot of time at the beach and other randomness.

this summer ended up being way busier than i was anticipating but it has all been fun!

county fair!

s is 5!!

i can NOT believe my girl is now 5 years old! time is seriously flying! we did a little tea party and she invited her cousin and a friend over. can i just say it's so much fun having a girly girl!! i love that she loves everything girl! i can't imagine my life without this sweet little thing . she is the giver of random kisses/hugs, she loves anything pink, she is a nurturer, she is sweet, sensitive and sassy. she LOVES her babies as if they were real and LOVES to play house. she's a lover and we love every part of her! my prayer for this little one is that God would instill in her a love for Him so fierce that she can't help but tell others about Him. i pray that as she grows she will understand that what's truly important is what's on the inside and that as she grows it will be into a confident young lady. i pray that she will stand strong in her beliefs and that her walk with the Lord will be solid! we love you so much and are so blessed to have you in our lives!!

c is 7!!

my sweet c is 7! i can't believe how fast the time is going... my babies aren't babies anymore. c is one of the sweetest most sensitive boys you are gonna meet. he is very aware of the feelings of others. he's eager to help and loves to use his hands. he is going through a lego phase right now and is able to put sets together on his own following the instruction booklet. he recently started karate and within the first six weeks earned his yellow belt. he catches on to things pretty quickly. =) he likes to be with his friends but is also fine with being by himself. he is quick to flash a smile and grab your hand if you are walking next to him. he is a pretty happy-go-lucky kid and we are so lucky to have him! my prayer for him is that he will continue to grow in his relationship with the Lord. that God will use him mightily one day to reach many for His kingdom.

i'm so thankful that i get to call him mine!!

summer!

i can't believe it has been so long since we have blogged. we have been having fun this summer! it's going by way too fast. the boys have started karate which they absolutely LOVE! they tested last week and became yellow belts, and have said that they want to go until they earn their black belts. =) we have been going to playgrounds, having sleepovers, e went to camp for a week, swimming at a local metro park, going to birthday parties, taking advantage of free movie tuesdays at a local theatre, having our own movie nights, and trying to stay cool in this pretty hot summer. august has turned into our travel month. we will be going to new york to be with travis's side of the family and then the kids and i are going to meet up with my parents and brother and his family in tennessee for a week. august is going to be over before we know it, and then school will start. i'm so not ready for that yet, so we won't talk about it. =) i will be schooling three though so that should keep things a little interesting to say the least. we hope that you are having as much fun this summer as we are! it's so nice to be able to make our own schedule and do our own thing.

my first born is 9!

i can't believe my first born is 9!! where has the time gone? we affectionately call him "e." at the moment he wants to either be a video game designer or a veterinarian. he is very bright and loves learning new things. he is a leader and likes taking charge. he is really good at puzzles and likes doing word searches and seek and find books. he enjoys going to the library and getting books to read for pleasure. he is loving legos right now and any type of video game you can play. he continues to be social and makes friends very easily. he is very committed to things and has reflective/sentimental moments already at 9. he loves looking at old pictures and reminiscing. he has a great memory which comes in handy a lot! he loves riding his bike, going for hikes and playing outside. he is a very kind, compassionate, and loving young man.... no longer a "little" boy! =) he loves the Lord and continues to be sensitive towards the things of the Lord. my prayer for him is that he continues to grow in his relationship with the Lord and develops a love for God so deep that he can't help but tell others about Him. i pray that God will use "e" in a special way to further things for His kingdom.
we can't imagine life without him and thank God every day that he has blessed us with someone so special.

cl turns 2

i can NOT believe my baby is 2! she has grown so much w/in the last year. she brings so much life to our family! she is a sweet little thing who randomly tells you she loves you! she also loves to crawl up onto your lap and snuggle. she has a mind of her own and is very independent. she isn't afraid of much and keeps up with her three older siblings quite well. she loves playing with her baby dolls and enjoys the outdoors. we were struggling with her sleeping through the night for a short stint but have had it under control for the last few weeks.... and are hoping it stays that way long term. =) she just had her first sleep over at some friends, and didn't do all that well. she was up for an hr. through the night. i didn't have my hopes too high that it would go well, but figured we could try and see how she did, now we know. =) she is quite the picky eater but we are hoping as she grows she'll be willing to expand on the foods that she eats. she is non stop from the time she wakes up until the time she goes to bed.... she has lots and lots of energy. i am so thankful that God blessed me with this sweet little girl! we love you so much c bear and can't imagine what our family would be like w/o you!

sledding!

we haven't had a lot of snow this winter--and i'm not complaining--but the kids wanted to go sledding. we got just enough recently to cover the ground. that paired with a decent sized hill = sledding!
they all had a blast!! this was s's first year and she squealed all the way down the hill. at first i thought it was because she was scared, but it turned out she was LOVING it.





i'm sure this will not be the last time this year that we hit the hill and have a ball!
