go yellow dragons!

we decided to sign e up for soccer this summer through our local y, so he could get some energy out. he is on the yellow dragons and is playing with about 5 other kids on his team. the first game was a disaster, bc he had never really played before--aside from the practice he had, had that week-- and didn't understand that he was allowed to take the ball away from the other team and that they were allowed to take the ball from him. i think he thought he was just going to be able to kick the ball around and score whenever he wanted. halfway through his first game he refused to play and didn't return to the field. over the next few days we just tried explaining the game to him and he seemed more ready his next practice. now that he knows what soccer is all about, he is loving it and is actually getting somewhat aggressive. =) for those of you who know him, he is not a very aggressive child. we are glad that he is loving it and enjoy going and watching him play.
