i have had some recent conversations with e that have cracked me up, so i thought i would share.
e and i were sitting and i asked him what he wanted for christmas. He proceeded to tell me, and somehow santa came up. He said that he would sit on santa's lap when he was 6 but not now. i asked him how santa would know what he wanted for christmas and he looked at me and said, "santa is a smart guy." lol... so funny.
we were heading to the y one a.m. and a local church has the word pilgrim in the name. e all of a sudden says, "hey, there are pilgrims at that church." so i proceeded to ask him what he knew about the pilgrims. e said that they were friends with the indians and that the indians taught them how to hunt. i asked him what kind of animals did they hunt. e said, "well, they went and got turkey and then indians also helped them get some reindeer meat." lol... you learn something new every day. =)
i usually wouldn't share this about myself, but this one takes the cake. i was sitting one day and i said that i had a whisker that i needed to pluck--thanks to my dysert/newcomer genes =) -- and e looked at me dead serious and asked, "what kind of animal will you turn in to?" oh my word, i was laughing over that one for days!! hope you enjoyed the randomness of a five year old.
