reflecting on thanksgiving

we had a wonderful thanksgiving. good eats. good fellowship. a time of sharing, and did i mention good eats. =) i love my family so much! my parents are away for the first time in years and i REALLY missed them... but am SO thankful for my extended family who are still in the area who are willing to step in where i felt the void. there are so many things to be thankful for!! the Lord has truly blessed us this past year, and to reflect, i thought i would share a little of what i am thankful for:

1. my hubby and kids.

i live for these faces right here. i am so thankful that the Lord deemed me fit to be their mommy.
2. i'm thankful for good health.
3. i'm EXTREMELY thankful for my extended family always, but this year especially!

4. hugs --as long as they aren't from random strangers =)
5. laughs. nothing beats a good laugh
6. friends who are like family!
7. drive thru windows -- it's awesome when i don't have to drag four kids out of the van!
8. random "i love you's"
9. new articles of clothing that make you feel good about yourself
10. a good hair cut
11. ginger bread houses, because they bring lots of fun

12. snuggle times
13. quiet times
14. a clean house
15. clean and folded laundry
16. God and my salvation
17. teachable moments
18. music that makes you feel good after listening to it
19. random dance parties held in the living room
20. walks
21. "dates" with my kids
22. dates with travis
23. a hubby who is willing to work to provide for his family
24. my cell phone, bc without it i wouldn't be able to keep in touch via texting!!
25. smiles from a 9 month old that melt your heart

as you can see... i could go on and on but i'll stop for now. i am just really thankful for all that the Lord has blessed me with this year.
as i sit here the kids are wanting to contribute to the thankful list as well, so here are a few things they are thankful for.

4. movies -- 14. beds bc i don't want to sleep on the hard floor
5. God for creating us -- 15. animals

8. playgrounds -- 18. Bible bc it tells us about God and Jesus
9. books -- 19. candy
10. light, bc if we had no light we wouldn't be able to see. -- 20. church

as a mom it makes my heart so happy that my kids are thankful!! i hope all of you had a wonderful thanksgiving as well!
