It's Been a Few Days!!

Well it has been over a week and I know people are wondering where we are. Well we are here and we have been keeping busy. The big news is the 10"-12" of snow we got and drifts even higher. They have called it "the big one" for the season and it lasted just over 24 hours. April and the boys were in Alliance and had originally planned to come home Tuesday morning. However the snow kept them in alliance an extra day. If you didn't know, the van is broken so we are down to one car until it gets fixed, so April was depending on me or her mom to get them back and forth. So I was alone for a few days and almost snowed in. I spent 2 1/2 hours Wednesday morning shoveling our driveway out and it seemed like an eternity. I felt every bit of it in my back and arms once I was at work, I guess I am getting old. Then to top off that day I locked my keys in my car, while the car was running, when I was trying to leave work. Due to the weather it took AAA 3 1/2 hours to show up...so it was a very trying day. I did not get home until 3am. Needless to say Thursday was a long day.
But now I have my family back and Ethan was all about going to play in the snow...so we did. Just to give you an idea on how deep it got in the back yard here is a picture:

Up to Connor's waist and almost to Ethan's. They had fun playing for about an hour or so. We also attempted to make a snow man but it is not great packing snow. So he is a little small. Maybe as it starts to warm up we can try again; this snow is not going anywhere any time soon.

Ethan was sorry we could not get it bigger.
April continues to move along with her pregnancy without any complications. We are looking into some other hospital options this time around. Our car is in the process of being repaired now. April is anxious to have her own vehicle back again and I don't blame her. I found out on Tuesday that I have been accepted into the leadership development program (LDP) at work. This is finally a positive step in the right direction at Kinko's and I am excited to attend. It is a shoe in for getting accepted into your own store once you go through this program. So I am hopeful that with this program and some coaching at work from my boss that they will finally see me as being ready to have my own store. So please keep us in your prayers.
I am including a few new links that will bring you to some videos of the family so now you can see us in motion. The site also allows live, real time, webcasting from my cell phone so we can have live feed of the baby and events like that. So you have to check the site often, I am also putting the direct link on the left site of the blog page so it is easily accessible. So enjoy the videos and stop back soon, I will do my best to make sure it is less then a week. God bless.
