Let it Snow

Well mother nature decided to post pone winter until.....now! We are in the single digits and it has been snowing on and off for a week now. We have not had a great deal of accumulation here but up near the lake some places have over a foot. Ethan and I went out in the snow before the frigid temperatures came. He got a tube to sled with from Aunt Tammy so we took that with us. He attempted to sled down the drive way but it was not quite steep enough. Not that it would really matter because Ethan is afraid of speed, he even got scared when I pushed him to fast. So he had some fun with the speed he got. We tried throwing snow balls but it was a little to cold and it did not pack well. It has now become so cold to where the snow crunches under your feet and it does not melt even in the sun. It is record low temperatures since 2000, so we are bundled up. We are trying to keep warm inside even.
We had a small adventure this morning, well the boys think so. We had a small oil leak in the van which I tried fix with an oil treatment. Well as April and the boys were on their way to church the leak became a gush and stalled the car. Luckily it happened at a gas station so they were not stranded. They bought lemonade and chips and sat on some beer cases. They were having a grand old time when I got there to pick them up.

We were fortunate that our roadside assistance program was still active so we got the van towed home. We are praying it will not cost a lot to fix.
