Happy New Year!!!

Happy New year to everyone. We had a low key fun Christmas and New Year holiday this year. We headed to Aunt Debbie's house for a Christmas Eve family get together. We had fun with family; eating, playing and exchanging gifts. Oma and Gramps met us there and came back to our house to celebrate Christmas. Santa stopped by and left so many gifts they came spilling out from under the tree. The kids spend an hour or so opening presents while Nana, Grandpa, Uncle Adam and Aunt Katie watched via Skype. It is always a blessing to see the joy on their faces as they open gifts. They opened everything from a bike to Wii games. S spent the next two days playing her "paying game" thanks to Uncle Adam and Aunt Katie. They got her toy register that has a working scanner and bar codes. So she had Oma and Gramps, especially Gramps who was a good sport, playing this game with here for hours at a time. We spent the whole day at home in our PJs enjoying presents and fellowship. Oma and Gramps heading off the day after Christmas and I had to head back to work. The last week of the year flew by and another year has gone by. The kids went to a friends birthday party at a local fire house on the New Year's Eve day. They had fun playing on the trucks and learning about firemen. Our New Year's Eve was uneventful and we were all asleep as the new year came in. Now we look forward to a New Year and new adventures. We hope you stick around to see how our year progresses. May the Lord bless you this year.
